Volunteering is an activity everyone should engage in, as it avails one of many benefits in mental and physical wellbeing. One of the most widely sighted benefits of volunteering is that it reduces stress and increases your tendency to experience emotions like happiness and optimism.
Humans are social; we sometimes rely on the community to scale the various challenges of living. When you volunteer, you interact with other people and form lasting bonds with people with different social orientations and from diverse backgrounds.
When you volunteer, you add value to society and make it a better place to live for all. For instance, when you volunteer to provide food and shelter to the homeless, it has a positive ripple effect on society.
